I’s the harmony between how we fuel our bodies, how we move our spirits, and how we tend to our energy.

This World Health Day, let’s look past the surface and celebrate the incredible synergy of the human body.

​True vitality happens when we stop treating our physical, mental, and energetic selves as separate entities. Whether it's the nourishment on your plate, the breath in your lungs, or the release of tension in your muscles, every small act of care ripples outward.

​Today is about honoring the vessel that carries you through every moment. Here are three ways to cultivate that balance today:

​🍲 Practice "Nourishment Curiosity": Instead of focusing strictly on restriction, ask your body whart it is asking for. As an evidence-based approach, aim for a "color-first" plate. Adding a variety of phytonutrients from vibrant plants supports gut health and sustained energy, making your meals both a fuel source and a celebration.

🧘🏾‍♀️ ​The Power of the Micro-Pause: You don't always need a 60-minute yoga flow to reset. When you feel a surge of stress, take three "ocean breaths" (Ujjayi). Deep, diaphragmatic breathing signals your nervous system to move from "fight or flight" into "rest and digest," instantly shifting your energetic state.

✨ Honor Your Physical Boundaries: Tension is often just a conversation your body is trying to have with you. Practice a 2-minute self-massage on your neck or jaw, or simply place your hands over your heart to ground your energy. Acknowledging where you hold stress is the first step toward releasing it.

This week marks Children’s Mental Health Week 2026, and it’s the perfect time to explore how Reiki can empower children’s well-being.

This year’s theme is 'This is My Place', with the aim to support the systems around children and young people to help them feel they belong.

As both a Reiki Practitioner and a parent, I have witnessed first-hand the incredible benefits of Reiki for children. With four kids of my own, Reiki became a daily practice in our home, offering comfort, balance, and support during the ups and downs of childhood.

Reiki wasn’t just something I “did” for them, it became a way of life in our family. Over time, my children learned to recognize their own energy and even use simple self-Reiki techniques.

Here are some of the benefits that I love about sharing Reiki with children. We go into more detail on our blog, covering everything you need to know about running Reiki sessions or workshops with kids, from preparation to techniques and ethical considerations.
