Please join Soroptimist International Esperance this Sunday in commemoration of World Environment Day 2024! It’s going to be a lot of fun!they have over 50 local artisans, artists, food vendors, local wines, and entrepreneurs of all sorts! They also have a play zone by Novel Sports as well as a bouncy castle for little kids. They also will be giving away free seedlings thanks to the SURE Foundation TT!

One of my favorite tips for emergent communicators! Model model model especially in routines!)- then lead in….. and wait! This strategy is great for all modes of communication- speaking, signing, and AAC!

This strategy also varies by child, some may pick up sooner than others while others may need it modeled many more times. The key is to give lots of exposures and then slowly add in wait time for a child to finish a phrase. If the child doesn't fill in the phrase, it's okay, the adult still says it!

No pressure and LOTS of communication opportunities is win win! 🎉🎉

A child's ability to regulate their own behaviour is closely related to their language development. Studies have shown that preschool children who have better behaviour regulation skills also have better early literacy, vocabulary, and math skills.
