How It Started

O’Patrick J. Allen founded O.P. Allen Funeral Directors on the principle of putting families first. A second-generation funeral director and the last son of the founder of the Allen brand, the late Orlean Patrick ‘OP’ Allen, O’Patrick decided at an early age he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and build the Allen name. After his father’s untimely passing O’Patrick pursued professional studies in mortuary science abroad .

On completion of his degree in Mortuary Science O’Patrick returned to expand the Allen brand, one which had a history of being synonymous with the highest standards in the industry. To maintain the name his father built, O'Patrick quickly realized he had to own and operate his own funeral home. After eight (8) years of continuing to practice as a funeral director/embalmer both in America and Trinidad Mr. O’Patrick ‘O.P.’ Allen began O.P. Allen Funeral Directors located at 76-77 Eastern Main Road, San Juan. This funeral home made an immediate impact in the funeral service industry in Trinidad & Tobago with an unrivaled reputation for professionalism and standards.
