ChauFIT This is my personal drive to motivate and inspire people to take charge of their health and fitness. My slogan is "Go Till Fail" because that is now I train.

My country is going through a negative transition and I would like to help change that however I can. I felt that maybe if I can change how people think about themselves, they may change how they think about others. I am hoping to help T&T become healthier, both physically and mentally. I keep going until my body can't go anymore... that is the point of "fail". The most important word in this slog

an is "Go" because you have to remember that as long as you can go, you should keep going... never stop until you ABSOLUTELY cannot do any more. mostly because... well, yesterday was Father's Day. I spent time with my son. I took my son to spend time with my dad. It was quite a wonderful Father's Day for me 😁. Social Media wasn't a priority. However, Father's are a priority, so even though it's a day late, I couldn't let the festival pass without me acknowledging the other Father's out there who are doing the do and raising their children. It's a labour of love, and our reward is getting to see our children grow up and become strong, positive people... and I think that's the best reward out there. We don't need a parade — just the knowledge that we were able to be a positive light in our children's lives.... and it is glorious 😊😊😊

... and yes, I said, "we get to..." It's a real privilege to be able celebrate these superhumans who love us, nurture us, take care of us, protect us, teach us, guide us.... To even agree to carry us around for 9 months (approximately) is a really huge deal! I lift weights so some may say I'm strong, but motherhood.... that's true strength right there!

We love you and thank you, to all who are mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, godmothers, aunts.... the whole gammut!

Yeah.... but you didn't know I could do a little. It of handyman work. Nothing exciting, just a little side table repair. The table top came off the base, so finally decided to fix it.... it had a bunch of old glue on it, so that added a dimension, but I made it work.

1) after removing the excess dried glue from the base and giving it a light sand to expose some of the wood.
2) first sanding of the top.
3) after removing excess glue from the table top.... I had to use a flat head screwdriver for this lol.
4) I sanded the top to smooth it out and remove excess glue and used a knife to clear the holes for the screws that used to be there. I then positioned the base on it and secured it temporarily with nails.
5) and 6) I used chalk to outline the position of the base on the top and then numbered the sides so I can see where to place it after I put some.wood glue back on.
7) on goes the wood glue. I put on a glove to spread it, making it into a thin layer of glue.
8) placed the base back on the table top and secured it with screws in the old screw holes. Yes, they are different screws.... I used what I had around 🤣🤣🤣.

So yeah.... I can do more than squats and give ppl squats... lol. Every now and then it is good to clear the head by working with your hands... Great for mental health, and your physical health can't be good without your mental health!

A couple of weeks ago, I posted my 1st gym selfies in a while... Some ppl were weird about it (I won't say why) so I took a piece of a selfie from a different angle (picture 1).

Also, this week I went up from 275 lbs squats to 295 lbs squats (picture 3).... (also moved up to 90 lbs dumbbell chest press which I supersetted with pullups using the mountain climber grips, but who cares about upper body when we're doing squats 😁 — no picture for that).

Just a little update.... oh, so I'm posting these because i'm back in my strength cycle and trying to get back to where I left off years ago. The reality is that I'm older now, so I can't expect progress to be the same.... but I'm making progress. Instead of increasing every 2 weeks, I'm increasing every 3-4 weeks. The reality is that as you age, your body reacts differently to the same stimuli. BUT it will still react, so don't ever use age as a reason *not* to do something. Keep going. Set a goal and chase after it like your life depends on it! And remember...…. slow progress is still progress!
