Eight years ago today, we said goodbye to Vernon Wight, the heart and soul of Wight's Funeral Homes Limited. As we mark this solemn anniversary, we pause to remember a man whose compassion and dedication touched countless families during their darkest hours.

Vernon understood that a truly meaningful legacy isn't measured in wealth or accolades, but in the lives we touch and the difference we make. Throughout his years of service, he stood as a pillar of strength and dignity for our community, guiding families through grief with gentle wisdom and unwavering support.

Those who knew Vernon remember his remarkable ability to provide comfort with just the right words or a simple, reassuring presence. As a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, he embodied the same values of care and devotion that defined his professional life.

The legacy Vernon built continues to shape Wight's Funeral Homes Limited today. His commitment to treating each family with personalized care and respect remains our guiding principle. Today, Monday 17 June, 2024, we gather to celebrate the life of Colin Joseph Fuentes, a dedicated career teacher who touched the lives of countless young minds. Colin's passion for education and his unwavering commitment to his students have left an indelible mark on the community. He was more than an educator; he was a mentor, a guide, and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As a loving brother, father, and life-partner, Colin's compassion and kindness were felt deeply by his family. His nurturing spirit and boundless love created a home filled with warmth and joy. He was a beacon of light and strength, a truly beautiful soul whose presence made the world a better place.
