Aging At Home (AAH) has been in operation since 1st February 1999. This elderly care facility is owned by Mr. Glenford Davis, a Registered Nurse with 41 years experience who also acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. He resides on the premises and is able to provide onsite supervision to a total of twenty-one (21) staff and forty (40) clients 24/7.

AAH provides all meals, including special diets, to its clients with emphasis on their medical conditions, religious restrictions and also their physical abilities. The Home will accept any food item brought in by family members, providing that full disclosure protocols are observed.

All linens are supplied and laundered by the Home, but the family will be responsible for providing the personal clothing which will be marked and laundered by the Home. The family will be responsible for ensuring that all medication are available at all times, while the Home will administer the recommended doses and constantly observe clients for the desired effect and or adverse reactions.

Visiting hours to the facility is on 24/7 basis and is intended for these purposes: (a) An opportunity for family and friends to spend quality time with their loved ones and (b) An opportunity for family members to objectively asses our product and care and also to determine whether they meet the standards that were proposed by the Home.

A medical officer is available on an on-call basis. All clients are assessed on admission by the medical officer, who will prescribe all medications and treatments. Special tests that may be ordered outside the facility, remains the full responsibility of the family along with all medications and treatments. The Doctor’s fee is $200.00 but could increase based on whether additional procedures are needed to be performed. Subsequent visits will also cost $200.00.

Monthly fees range from $4290.00 for Level One clients, $4840.00 for Level Two and $5313.00 for Level Three. Level One clients are those assessed by the facility to be capable of performing all activities of daily living e.g. toileting, bathing, feeding oneself, fully mobile and not impacted with chronic diseases that may require additional continuous monitoring. Level Three clients are those assessed by the Home to be completely or partially bed-ridden, wearing pampers (which will be the responsibility of the family), unable to perform their activities of daily living and impacted with significant amounts of chronic diseases.

Monthly fees are payable in cash on the date and time of admission and on the anniversary date of the subsequent months thereafter. Subsequent monthly fees are to be deposited into the bank account of the facility. The bank receipt will later be exchanged for a receipt issued by the Home. All fees are non-refundable. Late fees are not tolerated and can be subjected to late fee charges based on the frequency. The facility will supply bath soap, toothpaste, toilet tissue and hand towels to clients. All other toiletries including shampoo, body cream, combs, hair grease, toothbrush, shaving sets and shaving creams are the responsibility of the family.
