Story Time 😁:
After earning my 8 CXC subjects (don’t calculate my age 🤭), I went on to pass only 1 out of my 4 A'Level subjects. I honestly thought my brain cells had expired 😵💫 and I began to believe I was incapable of learning. University was out the door for me, so I decided to get a job instead.
Two years later, I took a leap and enrolled in a Business and IT programme 📝at a Trinidad university affiliated with a UK university. I spent a year traveling every weekend from Tobago to Trinidad, failed Economics twice, and eventually dropped out after I couldn't complete the certificate level.
Eventually, I asked myself, “Karelle, what do you truly want to do?”🤔 It was then that I remembered my high school aspiration in becoming a counsellor/psychologist—somehow, that dream had been forgotten along the way🪷.
With newfound clarity, I took a leap of faith🙏🏾 and started my Social Work degree. Though I failed one course, I graduated Magna Cum Laude. Four years later, I received a National Scholarship and completed my Master's in Counselling Psychology with Distinction💫.
I’m here to remind you: with God, all things are possible. Just believe, and He will take care of the rest. I did not let my early failures define me, and they don’t have to define you either. Today, I’m doing what I love.
Failure is not the end, but it can be the beginning of something beautiful ✨️ 🪻🌺
