Removing Mildew stains:

A homemade shower-cleaning mixture: You'll need 1 cup of vinegar, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1 cup ammonia, and a gallon and a half of hot water. Put rubber gloves on and apply to the walls of your shower. Use a sponge to scrub well and rinse with hot water. Be sure to wipe the walls dry to prevent new mildew from forming.

Tip of the day:
Banish Grime and Soap Scum. Forget about purchased 'miracle' products. Instead, stir 3 tablespoons baking soda and 1/2 cup household ammonia into 2 cups warm water. Once you've wiped the solution on, and rinsed it off with a sponge or rag, bathroom surfaces will gleam.

Today's Tip: I kind of get grossed out by sponges. Do you? I just feel like they are perfect for harboring millions of germs. I do like the sponges with the rough side for scrubbing out hard-to-clean pots and pans, but end up throwing them out before their life cycle is over. What a waste! Instead, put them in the microwave for a couple of minutes and watch as the microbes sizzle away.
Sanitize your sponges in the microwave for 2mins and it will kill 99% of your germs

Tip of the Day: Blood stains are relatively easy to remove before they set but can be nearly impossible to wash out after 24 hours. If you can get to the stain before it sets, treat it by pouring full-strength white vinegar on the spot. Let it soak in for 5-10 minutes, then blot well with a cloth or towel. Repeat if necessary, then wash immediately.
