Exciting News!!!
Last Saturday, 21st March, Luminary Leaders hosted a dynamic meeting at the WASA facility in St. Joseph. We were happy to welcome a few representatives from WASA, and their presence really added to the session.
Guided by the theme, “From Blueprint to Breakthrough,” and led by Toastmaster of the Day Asenath Mc Ewen, the meeting flowed seamlessly from start to finish.
It was another insightful and well-spirited meeting, filled with learning, laughter, and meaningful contributions. The Word of the Day, “meticulous,” came up quite a bit, with many speakers finding creative ways to include it in their presentations.
The evening featured two prepared speeches by Patrice Letren and Malcolm Douglas, who explored similar themes from their own unique perspectives. Malcolm delivered a standout speech and was awarded Best Speaker.
The Table Topics segment brought great energy to the room, led by Cindy Sooklal-Benny, who took on the role for the first time and did an excellent job. Emerson John Charles, a WASA representative, delivered a confident and compelling response, earning Best Table Topics Speaker.
In the evaluation segment, AD Kevin Bertrand stood out with a thoughtful and impactful evaluation of Malcolm’s speech, securing the Best Evaluator award. He was also recognized for completing a level in the Toastmasters program, well deserved.
