Come with me inside a hospital in China 🇨🇳✨

During my stay in September, I had the opportunity to experience their healthcare system—and I was genuinely impressed.

From the moment you enter, everything is built for efficiency:
🎟️ Ticketing systems in clinics and radiology departments
🧪 Organized lab drop-offs with precise time logging
👶🏽 Dedicated play areas to keep children comfortable
🚪 Spacious, clean rooms designed for patient care
👩🏽‍⚕️ Clear display of doctors’ names and photos outside each room

Every step felt structured, intentional, and patient-centered.

What stood out most to me wasn’t just the technology—but how seamlessly everything worked together to reduce waiting time and confusion.

It really makes you think… what systems can we adopt to improve our own healthcare experience?

💬 What do YOU think about this kind of setup?

March is women’s Month 💜

I had the pleasure of facilitating a session earlier this March with the Division of Food Security in recognition of Women’s Month 💜

I was invited to their Head of Department meeting to speak on “A Woman’s Health Journey: From Puberty to Menopause.”
It was an incredibly interactive session filled with meaningful discussion, laughter, and learning.

We explored conditions women face in their reproductive years as well as in the post menopausal period, special emphasis on what screenings should be done, why and when.

And of course—you all know I never miss an opportunity to include the men! 👏🏽
They showed up, participated, asked questions, and embraced the learning experience.

All attendees received discounted Pap smear cards for Pap smear/HPV testing at Winsam Women Wellness 🩺 😉

A special thank you to CeraVe for the self-care packages and to Digicel for sponsoring giveaway items including bags, wireless chargers, and torchlights 🎁

I remain deeply committed to advancing women’s health in Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
Because when women—and men—are empowered with knowledge, they make better health choices.

Thank you again to the Division for having me!

March may be Women’s Month, but we have so many exciting initiatives planned throughout the year ✨

Yall asked for clips so here it is…..Part 2🎥 Street Interview Part 2 is here! 😄

I stopped a few people in the city and asked them about the female body… and whew 😅

When they’re not sure, I step in for a quick mini lesson—because every moment is a chance to educate!

So eg when they identify the breast I use that opportunity to tell them about breast screening.

When we talk about sanitary napkins I use that opportunity to educate on normal and abnormal bleeding.

There isn’t much knowledge about the menstrual cup in our space and im happy to enlighten 😆

Watch, learn, and tell me—would YOU get these questions right? 👇

✔️Breast exams….every month
✔️Pap smears……every three years
✔️Postpartum s*x…..wait at least 6 weeks.

Simple topics… right?

We asked what they knew —
and the answers might surprise you 👀

Let’s clear up the myths.

Check out our street interview for March, international women’s month.

✅breast exams should be done monthly, just after your period around the same time each month-looking for any lumps/bumps, skin changes, or anything you consider strange.
Bonus exam if you’re over 40 then it’s time for your

✅A speculum is used for papsmears. Papsmears screen for cervical cancer and should be done in all s*xually active women above the age of 21.

✅Post partum s*x is advised at least 6 weeks after the baby is born….or like one of the guy said 6 months ☺️☺️

✅Did you know? The average vaginal length varies and can change with arousal and life stages. Ranges from 3.5-4.5 inches but can stretch up to 7 inches. Understanding your body is empowering.

📚✨ World Read Aloud Day ✨📚

For World Read Aloud Day, I had the pleasure of reading to the amazing students at Buccoo Government Primary School, right here in Tobago.

Growing up, I was an avid reader, and that love for books played a big role in shaping the person—and doctor—I am today. Reading opens minds, builds confidence, and reminds our children that their dreams are valid and possible.

As a young Tobagonian doctor, I am deeply committed to giving back to my community, mentoring our children, and helping to shape the future of our island—one young mind at a time.
Come along with me as we read aloud and celebrate the power of books 📖💙

Special thanks to the Staff at Buccoo Government for having me✊🏿

A exam and a are two different things….
Here’s why:
The speculum is used to visualize the cervix and papsmear is the actually procedure where cells from the cervix are tested to see if there are any abnormality.

Have you booked your papsmear as yet?

Have you booked your papsmear yet? 🤔Results back in 10 days😬

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness month🩵

In 2026, women should not be dying of cervical cancer because it is one of the most preventable cancers.🙅🏾‍♀️

These men are here with a message 🗣️🗣️

It can be prevented through regular screening with papsmears and vaccination, the hpv vaccine.

The papsmears detect abnormal cells and once detected early, it can be treated.

Ladies, you can get a papsmear at your local health center for FREE or at your doctors office.

Be sure to ask about hpv testing to evaluate your risk of cervical cancer.

Cheers for Smears!

Don’t fear

Special thanks to these young men who were willing to spread awareness on such an important topic✊🏿
