GOOD DAY ALL!
The threat posed to our country from the Corona virus is real. In only a few short weeks, we as a people have had to make significant changes to our lifestyles to ensure our safety.
At 10th Avenue Pharmacy, the safety of our customers and colleagues remains our number one priority. We have made significant changes as well, so that we can continue to provide you with essential goods and services during this crisis.
Our staff members are screened for fever at the beginning of shifts using an infrared thermal scanner. Work hours have been adjusted and mandatory staff breaks have been implemented to ensure a healthy workforce. Anyone with cough and cold symptoms is advised to stay at home to restrict the spread of disease. In compliance with advice from medical doctors, we have implemented strict handwashing policies, using hospital-grade antimicrobial hand sanitisers in-store.
The Corona virus can survive on surfaces for hours to days at a time. Our floors, doors, counter surfaces, point of sale devices (Linx machines), telephones and computers are all sanitised at regular intervals throughout the day for everyone’s protection. Plexiglas screens have been installed to prevent droplet transmission between staff and customers, allowing us to interact more safely. You are entering a clean environment in our store.
As we do our part to protect you, we are also relying on you to protect us. A sink has been installed at the entrance of the store, so you can wash your hands on entering and leaving. Please continue to follow the Ministry of Health’s guidelines on social distancing and avoiding all unnecessary travel. Consider using our WhatsApp platform (724-6485) to place your orders and arrange kerbside collection.
Our team continues to monitor the situation as it evolves. Further changes may be need to be implemented in future, to maintain continuity of our service provision. Meanwhile, we encourage you to comply with official guidance and take all sensible precautions to safeguard yourself, your family and by extension your community.
Together, we shall overcome.
