If you’ve ever sat down to meditate and thought, I’m doing this wrong because my mind won’t stop thinking, you’re not alone. But here’s the truth that changes everything:

The thoughts are supposed to be there.

Meditation isn’t about achieving a blank mind or stopping your thoughts. It’s about:

Noticing when your mind wanders
Observing your thoughts without judgment
Gently returning to your breath, body, or chosen focus
Building awareness of your inner landscape

Think of your mind like the sky. Thoughts are clouds passing through. You’re not trying to clear the sky you’re learning to watch the clouds drift by without getting carried away by them.

1 Mind spinning, thoughts everywhere, feeling “bad” at it
2 Noticing the thoughts, getting frustrated
3 Observing the thoughts with curiosity
4 Finding moments of spaciousness between thoughts

Start Where You Are

The goal isn’t to stop thinking. The goal is to change your relationship with your thoughts.

So next time you sit down to meditate and your mind is racing? You’re doing it exactly right. That’s where the practice begins.

Happy Monday, everyone!

As we step into a new week, let’s set an intention to make our words matter. Before you send that text, post that comment, or speak in that meeting today, pause and ask yourself: Does what I’m about to say pass the THINK test?

T- Is it True?
H - Is it Helpful?
I - Is it Inspiring?
N - Is it Necessary?
K - Is it Kind?

Our words carry weight. They can build someone up or tear them down. They can create connection or distance. They can heal or harm. In a world where everyone has something to say, let’s be the ones who choose to say things that actually add value.

This Monday, challenge yourself to THINK before you speak. Not to silence your voice, but to ensure that when you do speak, your words reflect the best version of who you are.

Your words are powerful. Use them wisely.
