Diabetic foot care is especially important, as even the smallest cuts could be detrimental to your feet. Diabetes may cause nerve damage that takes away the feeling in your feet. Diabetes may also reduce blood flow to the feet, making it harder to heal an injury or resist infection.
To avoid serious issues that could result in the loss of a toe or leg, follow these guidelines:

-Inspect your feet daily
-Bathe feet in lukewarm, never hot water
-Moisturise feet, but not between your toes
-Never treat calluses or corns yourself
-Never walk barefoot
-Get periodic foot screenings
