感謝日本的面谷透(TORU OMODANI)醫師舉辦第二屆骨骼肌肉超音波亞洲會議(5/28-29)，去年舉辦在沖繩，今年則舉辦在京都。跟台灣比較不一樣的是，日本的超音波學會主要由骨科(整形外科せいけいげか)主導，因此有許多的手術醫師。另外日本有名的技術，"經血管微動脈栓塞術(TAME)"的發起者奧野祐次(YUJI OKUNO)醫師也有在會議中詳細描述TAME技術使用在手肘部分的經驗。更有趣的是台灣沒有的TENEX技術–透過超音波導引做微清創，把壞死的組織移除讓好的組織可以重新長回去，這個在不想開刀的個案特別好用。
在骨骼肌肉超音波的掃描方面，因為面谷透醫師也邀請了不同國家的講者，因此可以理解不同國家在超音波常規上面的不同，確實可以補足在超音波掃描的不同面向。在實際掃描方面，劉院長也跟日本的講者分享平常台灣比較常見的超音波擺位與定位方法，互相交流，非常有趣。
這次也遇到平常台灣很熟的骨骼肌肉超音波好朋友們，包含台大的張凱閔教授、吳爵宏醫師、北榮的劉鼎浩醫師、高醫沈伯因醫師、南基廖偉成醫師，甚至也遇到香港的Mark Lai與Peter Siu醫師，能夠在異國見面真的十分有趣!
再次感謝面谷透醫師舉辦這麼好的課程，已經開始期待明年的會議了!

また、会場では台湾でお馴染みの骨格筋超音波の仲間たちにも再会できました。台大の張凱閔教授、呉爵宏先生、台北栄民総医院の劉鼎浩先生、高雄医学大学の沈伯因先生、南基病院の廖偉成先生に加え、香港のMark Lai先生、Peter Siu先生にもお会いでき、海外での再会はとても楽しいものでした。

I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Toru Omodani for organizing the 2nd Asian Conference on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (May 28–29). Last year, the conference was held in Okinawa, and this year it took place in Kyoto. Additionally, Dr. Yuji Okuno, the pioneer of Japan’s renowned Transcatheter Arterial Micro-Embolization (TAME) technique, gave a detailed presentation on his experience applying TAME for elbow conditions. Another interesting highlight was the introduction of the TENEX procedure, which is not available in Taiwan. Under ultrasound guidance, TENEX allows for minimally invasive debridement to remove necrotic tissue and promote the regrowth of healthy tissue — a particularly valuable option for patients who prefer to avoid surgery.
Regarding musculoskeletal ultrasound scanning, Dr. Omodani also invited speakers from various countries, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about the differences in ultrasound protocols across nations and broaden our scanning perspectives. During the practical scanning sessions, Director Liu shared some common ultrasound positioning and localization techniques used in Taiwan with the Japanese speakers, facilitating very engaging exchanges.
I also had the pleasure of reconnecting with many familiar faces from Taiwan’s musculoskeletal ultrasound community, including Professor Kai-Min Chang from National Taiwan University, Dr. Jue-Hung Wu, Dr. Ding-Hao Liu from Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Dr. Po-Yin Shen from Kaohsiung Medical University, and Dr. Wei-Cheng Liao from Tainan Municipal Hospital. I even ran into Dr. Mark Lai and Dr. Peter Siu from Hong Kong — it was truly delightful to meet overseas!
Once again, my sincere thanks to Dr. Toru Omodani for hosting such a wonderful conference. I’m already looking forward to next year’s meeting!
