你不知道的加拿大《母親節不怎麽被熱衷慶祝的加拿大、人們不知道胸前配戴康乃馨意義的原因》Canadian mothers are lacking. This is why no one deserves to wear a carnation on Mother’s Day! (My Canadian English teacher doesn’t even know what a carnation looks like.) I think this is all due to Canada’s overemphasized social welfare. Unemployed mothers can receive high unemployment benefits. When giving birth, they get attentive service from a large group of nursing staff, with the cost of childbirth being zero. Hospitals also provide blood glucose machines for mothers in need, and nurses offer free postpartum services, including visits to teach new mothers how to bathe their babies.
Additionally, the government provides welfare support for children until they turn 18, with each child receiving a monthly check of 1,000 yuan (around 24,000 Taiwan dollars). The more children, the more support. Foreigners often smirk when an immigrant mother shops with her children, thinking she is wealthy due to the welfare benefits. In Taiwan, people would see her as struggling, needing to work hard to support her children.
In Canada, people admire mothers with many children, imagining them as wealthy due to substantial monthly child support. Canadian health insurance is entirely government-funded, with no monthly premiums or deductibles. Do Canadian mothers who don’t wear carnations still need to be praised? There are only mothers in the world.
