🎯 Breakthrough in Brain Tumor Treatment – ZAP‑X Coming to KSCH
Kaohsiung Show Chwan Memorial Hospital is bringing in the U.S.-developed ZAP‑X radiosurgery system, a non-invasive, high-precision technology designed to treat hard-to-reach brain tumors and trigeminal neuralgia.
Unlike traditional treatments, ZAP‑X enables most patients to complete therapy in a single outpatient session — no surgery, no hospitalization, and minimal impact on healthy brain tissue.
The system is expected to be up and running by the end of this year. KSCH also plans to integrate it with chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and is launching genetic studies to improve outcomes for brain tumor patients.
