On April 29-30, 2026, IRCAD Taiwan invites surgeons to an intensive Da Vinci Masterclass that bridges the gap between expert theory and hands-on ex*****on.

Led by renowned international faculty Dr. Adrian Kah Heng Chiow from Singapore and Dr. Yosuke Inoue from Japan, this course moves beyond the basics to tackle high-stakes techniques like SMA/SMV dissection and intricate reconstruction phases.

Participants will transition from interactive case reviews to a comprehensive full-day cadaveric lab, gaining the practical confidence needed for successful Robotic Pancreatoduodenectomy (RPD) and distal pancreatectomy.

The integration of robotic platforms in gastric cancer surgery has redefined precision, we believe that mastering these complexities requires a structured bridge between theoretical knowledge and hands-on ex*****on.

Our upcoming Robotic Surgery Mastery Workshop for Gastric Cancer (April 16-17, 2026) is built around this philosophy. Under the guidance of experts like Prof. Woo Jin Hyung and Dr. Wayne Shih-Wei Huang, the program moves beyond basic docking to address real-world intraoperative challenges and complication management.

Education can be a difficult journey, but it shouldn't have a ceiling.

In our interview with Dr. Isaac Seow-En, we hear about the transition from limited educational resources to the technical mastery found at IRCAD Taiwan. Our Intensive Course in Laparoscopic General Surgery is designed specifically to bridge that gap—using high-fidelity hybrid models to turn "minimal familiarity" into surgical precision.

What is the future of Robotics?

According to Dr. John Martinie and Dr. Charles Lin, it’s all about the data. While we teach robots to replicate steps, the immediate revolution is in surgical safety. Imagine a console that warns you before a bile duct injury, just like a car staying in its lane. That technology is coming, and it starts with mastering the robotic systems we use today.

Get ahead of the curve at IRCAD Taiwan this April. We are offering specialized Da Vinci Training across all major disciplines: Basic Robotic Skills, General Surgery, Hernia, Gastric, Liver, Pancreatic, Colorectal, and Gynecology.

Master the precision. Understand the data. Lead the field.

IRCAD Taiwan joins the global surgical community in honoring the life of Mrs. Sybill Storz (1936–2025).

Beyond her leadership at KARL STORZ, she played a meaningful role in shaping the early foundations of IRCAD. Her support, together with the shared vision she cultivated with Prof. Jacques Marescaux, helped strengthen the collaboration between technology and surgical education—an impact still felt across all IRCAD centers today.

Her dedication to innovation and medical advancement set a standard that continues to influence how we train, learn, and serve the surgical community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and everyone who had the privilege of working with her.
