財團法人中華民國唐氏症基金會緣起於家長組織，目的在提供唐氏症家庭一個相互交流的平台，透過家庭關懷訪視、支持陪伴、專業諮詢等，協助唐氏症家庭一起面對和解決遇到的困難，成為彼此支持的力量。唐氏症基金會秉持「哪裡有需要，服務就到哪裡」的精神，持續拓展服務據點，為有需要的家庭和孩子發展適切的服務模式。
