Why Is My Turbo Intake Hose Sucking Flat? 🔧

Scenario 1️⃣: The Intake Hose Sucks Flat (Air Filter to Turbo)
This is the "less scary" version. It typically means your air filter is too restrictive, or you're using a standard silicone hose that can't handle the vacuum from the turbo's massive demand for air.

Fix: Usually involves upgrading to a rigid intake pipe and a larger, high-flow air filter.

Scenario 2️⃣: The Charge Pipe Sucks Flat (Turbo to Throttle)
This is a critical engine alert. This pipe should be under pressure (boost), so if it's collapsing, it means the turbo itself has likely seized and failed. The engine is creating a powerful vacuum trying to suck air through a blocked compressor.

Fix: Stop the engine immediately. This requires inspecting the turbo for failure and almost certainly replacing it.
