3.25.2026. We started before dawn, gathered at the beach in Carlatan, rode out into the calm sea as the sun rose with gentle winds, prayed for peace on earth as clear blue waters greeted us, offered flowers for thanksgiving along the way to San Juan coast while those of us on land cleaned up the coast, and returned home with gratitude for every one on our journey.
20 bancas, 60 Lormanians, 120 people from community agencies including 40 bankeros, 56 years of service.
Shout out to all teams who made our 2nd flotilla possible ❤️

3.14.2026. Shout out to all who contributed to a happy, fun, and memorable Panagsubli, successfully coordinated by the Alumni Affairs & International Students Office and the Lormanian Alumni Network! We honored Golden Jubilarians of Nursing Class 1976, Outstanding Alumni, Board Topnotchers, and 5-year Service Awardees. From CLI campus for the morning activities between students and alumni, to CHS campus for the gala evening awards, there were smiles, laughter, hugs, and good vibes all around 😊 At Lorma Colleges, we welcome home our dear Lormanian Family with love 💕

2.21.2026. Imagine waking up before 2am on a Saturday to get to the mountain to volunteer at a community marathon which started at 4am…these awesome Lormanian BSPT and BSESS students did just that! They led warm-up exercises for the runners and manned first aid stations along the 21k route. A good experience for all 🙂 👍 ❤️

2.6.2025. Shout out to all who participated in our 2nd International Animation Festival! Many worked tirelessly behind the scenes to put together this memorable event to usher in Lorma Colleges 56th Foundation Year. Thank you to Lormanian faculty, staff, students and alumni; Busan Kyungsang College team and students; Woosong University IT Education Center; high school and college students and their coaches from 9 schools across Region 1; judges from education and industry; and community partners. Agyaman kami and Kamsahamnida, from San Juan with love ❤️

Lorma Colleges congratulates our sister school Busan Kyungsang College for the launching of their new Busan Animation Studio Complex (BASC) on January 28, 2026. The BASC aims to strengthen the animation industry and advances Busan into a global content center. We thank President Dr Han Baek-yong and his leadership team for spearheading this inspiring achievement and look forward for it to continue strengthening our educational partnership and future collaborations.
Since 2018, BKC has been a gracious partner, welcoming several LC teams to South Korea over the years. Kamsahamnida ❤️
This 2026, we look forward to also welcoming 20 BKC faculty and students to our 2nd Joint International Animation Festival this February 5-6 to be held at Lorma Colleges Center for Learning and Innovation !

12.16.2025. Shout out to our College of Nursing faculty ❤️ Your dedication, teamwork and passion for the profession inspire Lormanians to be educators too ! Our current faculty range from alumni graduating in 1985 to recent graduates - truly multigenerational, students becoming colleagues, mentors inspiring new mentors. And this November, their collective efforts resulted in 453 new Lormanian Registered Nurses !!

12.05.2025. Lorma Colleges was represented at the UI GreenMetric Ranking 2025 Results & Awards Ceremony held in Taiwan. Out of the 1547 global HEI entries from 105 countries, the top 10 sustainable universities are from Europe( Netherlands, Ireland, UK Germany, Italy), US and Brazil.
For our first-ever submission in this global ranking for green campus and environmental sustainability, Lorma Colleges ranked #1238, with our strengths being in Energy & Climate Change, Transportation, Settings & Infrastructure, and Education & Research, while our weaknesses are in Waste and Water. We are determined to use this as a baseline for continued action towards strengthening our commitment to Sustainability and Global Impact & Stewardship which are two of the Four Pillars of Lorma Colleges (the first two pillars are Lormanian Success and Culture of Wellbeing).
As an initial step, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the host of the event, National Chi Nan University, ranked #30, to open up more possibilities for academic and environmental collaborations.

Our beautiful homeland Philippines has been shaped over millions of years by the forces of our mother planet Earth. On our island of Luzon, we are grateful for the Sierra Madre and Cordillera mountain ranges which help to protect our province of La Union from typhoons coming from the Pacific Ocean.
