動物,總是啟發著人類,雖然,有時後我們對他們並不完全友善,他們純凈的愛總是動人,因為如此的真實且直接...!
Aloka, a dog now walking 2,300 miles across America alongside Buddhist monks, is quietly spreading a message of peace everywhere he goes. While the Walk for Peace across the United States began in Fort Worth, Texas, Aloka’s story started much farther away, on the streets of India.
Once a stray, Aloka began following a group of monks during a peace walk in India and never left their side. As the monks completed their 100 day journey, Aloka walked with them the entire way, becoming a steady and comforting presence. Today, he continues that mission in the United States, bringing smiles to children, families, and strangers who encounter him along the road.
Aloka is believed to be around four years old and is likely an Indian Pariah dog. Each morning, people spot him calmly walking beside the monks. Sometimes he wears a scarf bearing his name, and other times one that reads “Walk for Peace.” Along the journey, he receives regular veterinary care and is given time to rest whenever needed.
On December 9, 2025, the monks launched a page called Aloka the Peace Dog, which has already attracted more than 320,000 followers. Supporters often greet him with treats, toys, and affection. Adding to his gentle presence is a white marking on his forehead that naturally forms the shape of a heart.
Aloka’s journey feels like a reminder of compassion in motion, showing that kindness can walk beside us, one step at a time.
