復健的下一階段是改善活動能力,增加掌指關節的活動範圍,這將有助於在後期進行適當的肌力訓練。

按摩是改善活動能力的絕佳方法,它不僅有助於緩解關節周圍的僵硬,還能防止新骨生長過程中形成過多的疤痕組織。

您可以自行進行按摩,在最初幾週內每天按摩幾次,並在進行手部運動之前進行。

Really pleased that all the protocols and.optimism.are working like magic towards healing.

So the next stage of the rehabilitation process is to improve mobility, range of motion of the MCP joint, which should allow proper strength work.to.be implemented at the later stages.

Massage is a great way to improve mobility as it not only helps to loosen stiffness around the joints, but also prevents excess scar tissue forming as new bones continue to grow.

These can be done on your own, maybe a couple of times a day for the first couple of weeks, and before hand exercises.

No matter if you are single, or partnered, or surrounded by people around you, we all have our own problems as well as celebrations.

It is through the challenging moments that test the.connection between our Heart and Mind.

When one becomes more dominant than the other, it creates an imbalance, which manifests on.our bodies,.and eventually manifests in our reality.

So, being aware of imbalances helps us to rebalance.

The Mind naturally acts faster than the Heart...

Mindfulness practices (being aware of the present moment with judgement) helps to bring the Mind back in, and when working in alignment with the Heart, better decisions can then be made in alignment with what you truly need.

瑜珈日記 - 正念練習🌿🧘

置身大自然有助於我們屏蔽周遭的喧囂,擺脫那些永無止境的待辦事項、責任的重擔、各種瑣事等等,讓我們的神經系統得到休息。

正念並非逃避,而是讓心靈得以重置。重置之後,思維更加清晰,能夠更好地應對各種任務和挑戰。

正念的原理是訓練大腦專注於當下,而不是沉湎於過去或擔憂未來。它要求我們覺察自己的想法、感受和情緒,而不加以評判,從而減輕壓力,降低情緒反應,並增強大腦調節情緒的能力。

Being in nature helps to cut.out the noise around us, those endless to-do lists, demands from responsibilities, takes, etc...and give our nervous system a break.

Mindfulness isn't a escape, but more of a break for the mind to reset. After resetting, it produces more clarity, and allows better function of those tasks and challenges.

Mindfulness works by training the brain to focus on the present moment, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. It involves paying attention to thoughts, sensations, and emotions without judgment, which reduces stress, lowers emotional reactivity, and strengthens the brain's ability to regulate emotions.

在為期八週的正念減壓(MBSR)課程中,我們做的第一個練習就是正念進食。當我以這種方式(緩慢而專注地)進食時,我實際上吃得更少,但更滿足。

🧘MINDFULNESS PRACTICE - eating with awareness🧘

One of the first exercises we did on the 8 week MBSR course was mindful eating. When I ate a meal in this way (slow and mindful), I actually ate less, but was more satisfied.

Digestion was better too, and I was able to savour the flavour of each ingredient. This led me to start appreciating the little things that tend to be ignored when in a rush.

Highly recommend to try it out and see 😇

癒合期已過 4 週,預計傷勢已進入修復期(亞急性期),此階段分為兩個階段。

🦴軟骨痂(第 2-3 週)

纖維軟骨(軟骨痂)取代血塊,在骨折碎片之間形成連結。

🦴硬骨痂(第 3-6 週)

成骨細胞會將軟骨痂轉化為堅硬的骨痂(編織骨),通常在 3 週時可在 X 光片上看到,並提供結構和穩定性。

⚕️BONE FRACTURE HEALING REVIEW⚕️

4 weeks into the healing phase, and it is expected that the injury has moved into the REPARATIVE (SUB-ACUTE) stage, which is in two parts.

🦴SOFT CALLUS (week 2-3)
Fibrocartilage (soft Callus) replaces blood clot creating a bridge between the broken fragments.

🦴HARD CALLUS (week 3-6)
Osteoblasts turn the soft cartilage Callus into hard, bony Callus (woven bones), which is generally visible on X-ray by 3 weeks and provides structure and stability

These protocols to self check for healing progress can be done, which I find really useful to maintain optimism.

⚕️INJURY HEALING JOURNEY - Journey Is Yours⚕️

Injury slows everything down, it teaches one to look inwards as often it's easy to look outwards to compare yourself to others...and what happens when you compare?

It creates a space of lack...over time that can lead to depression (yes, I was there because I keep comparing my life to others).

Training the mind to bring it back to the present with focus on the parts of your body that still works, the parts that still make life good, and visualise how you want to be when the journey is over and you become fully strong again...

Channelling energy into what you can and will do, helps to break that cycle of negative self talk.

Overtime, you require your mind to speak more kindly to yourself, and it transforms loss to win - winning in life by achieving your goals. 💪💪💪

⚕️傷後康復之旅 - 你的旅程⚕️

傷勢會放慢一切的腳步,它教導我們向內審視,因為我們常常很容易向外看,與他人比較……而比較會帶來什麼呢?

它會造成一種匱乏感……久而久之,甚至會導致憂鬱(是的,我曾經也經歷過,因為我總是拿自己的生活和別人比較)。

FITNESS DIARIES - The Real Why is The Key 🏃📝

Initially alot of people I worked with or spoke to, mostly wanted to exercise to lose weight.

❓Would it be fair to also reframe this as dealing with the symptoms as a result of unhealthy habits over time?

ℹ️Because when using losing weight as the purpose - the exercise regime doesn't last.

➡️What happens is that those who have not used to exercising, suddenly go on a programme to lose weight.

➡️When weight loss is attained, that regime goes out of the window as it has "served it's purpose".

➡️Without consistent monitoring and adjustment of the training regime, boredom naturally sets in....and unless the unhealthy habits have been addressed - guess what?

Weight goes back on...and the cycle begins. 🤦

Therefore, finding your inner ❓WHY❓ during the goal setting stages is key to sustainable healthy habits.

I'm very grateful for the training and experience I received in the Police Service that has taught me resilience and useful skills to continue my passion to serve my community, and to help others. So this is my purpose to keep fit, not only for my health but for the health of others.



📝🏃健身日記 - 真正的「為什麼」才是關鍵🏃📝

最初,我接觸或交談過的許多人,運動的目的主要都是為了減肥。

❓我們是否可以把運動重新定義為因應長期不良習慣所帶來的症狀呢?

ℹ️因為如果把減肥當作運動的目的,那麼運動計畫就很難堅持下去。

➡️實際情況是,那些原本不習慣運動的人,突然開始進行減肥計畫。

➡️一旦達到減肥目標,先前的計畫就會被束之高閣,因為它「已經完成了它的目的」。

➡️如果沒有持續的監測和調整,訓練計畫自然會讓人感到厭倦……除非不良習慣得到糾正——你猜會發生什麼?

體重反彈……然後循環往復。 🤦

因此,在目標設定階段找到你內心的「為什麼」是養成永續健康習慣的關鍵。

我非常感激在警隊接受的訓練和累積的經驗,它教會了我堅韌不拔的精神和實用的技能,讓我能夠繼續滿懷熱情地服務社區,幫助他人。所以,我的目標是保持健康,不僅為了自己的健康,也為了別人的健康。
