News Letter: New Product Released

GTC SMT type Micro USB Connector is designed to improve the waterproofness of these interfaces built in the wearable devices nowadays. It is IP68 rated and suitable for outdoor usages, such as E-bike computer, headphone, sportswear with heart rate monitor built in and so on.

News Letter: New Product Released

The new released GTC snap-in connector is with compact size, suitable for E-bike system, LED lighting, handheld device and any applications required space saving feature.

With max 6 contacts it can be used for signal transmission or power + signal (2 core powers +2pairs signal). The push pull locking mechanism makes the installation easier, once it’s mated, it is IP65 rated. The cable outer jacket and connector molding are made by TPU, it has good flexibility and against aging better than PVC, perfect for outdoor application.

GTC was invited by the Ministry of National Defense to attend a ceremony held in Kaohsiung City on March 21st, 2017. The purpose of GTC’s attending is to witness the signing of a memorandum which formally launched the Taiwan’s domestic submarine-building effort. The document was signed by the Ministry of National Defense, Taiwan Shipbuilding Corporation and the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology.

The ceremony was held by Taiwan’s president Ms. Tsai Ing-wen. In her speech, she showed her strongest support to this project and wished to consolidate all the related industries to participate in this project.

GTC is delighted to attend this event, and wishing the project the greatest success in the foreseeable future.

We are proudly to announce that GTC just launched its new item of Waterproof USB Type C IPX7 connectors. We believe that GTC is one of the pioneers to achieve this goal in Taiwan's rugged connector industry.

The new Type C IPX7 connectors fulfill the customers' demand of fully reversible-plug function and meet the USB 3.1 standard. The product's highest transmission speed can reach 10Gbps and its highest current reaches 5A.

GTC USB Type C IPX7 is not only meet USB Type C specification but also satisfy IP67 the dust & waterproof standard. The product is therefore suitable for the commercial and industrial operations in rugged and outdoor environment.

We believe the manufacturers of portable devices, storage equipment, weak electric current equipment, medical instruments, outdoor LED displays, marine electronics, automation machine and IPCs/Military NBs shall be highly interested in this new product.

In the meantime, GTC also provides various kinds of USB type C adaptors to work with our new products. The metal version of GTC USB Type C IPX7 is now under construction and is expected to be launched in early 2017.
