After dropping off our daughter at preschool, we ran a 16K long run today (thanks to Jay for pacing), then went to Second Floor Cafe for our free salads.
送女兒到幼稚園後，早上跑16K long run (感謝Jay當配速/擋風員)，接這就去貳樓兌換免費的綠超人藜麥佛陀碗。

Last month, I shared my experience with topical ivermectin (Soolantra) at the Laser and Photonics Medicine Society meeting.
Topical ivermectin is listed as a first-line treatment option for inflammatory rosacea lesions (papules and pustules) in many guidelines. Besides its anti-inflammatory and anti-parasitic effects against Demodex mites, topical ivermectin has also been shown to change the bacterial microbiome of the skin.

上個月在醫用雷射光電學會的秋季年會和大家分享Soolantra (舒立達)的應用。
治療玫瑰斑，藥膏除了抗發炎效果以及促使蠕型蟎蟲(Demodex mites)死亡有關，也會改變皮膚的生物菌叢。

皮膚科醫生的一天part 3:
又是一個忙碌的週末。
週五參加杜克的講座：重啟青春新A醇抗老奇肌。
週六上了一整天的診。傍晚下診前，打電話給正在參加桌球積分賽的老公，問他打得如何。他說，進四強了！我立刻從永和趕去三重，正好趕上老公的冠亞賽！最後老公得到亞軍。賽後我們就順道在三和夜市吃吃逛逛。
週日去Costco，診所同仁說之前買的可爾必思喝完了。沒問題，立馬補充！順帶一提，週日真的不是去Costco的最佳日子，實在太多人啦！

Life of a dermatologist part 3:
Another busy yet fruitful weekend!
Friday, I attended a seminar held by Cantabria Labs: “Reboot your Youth: The New Retinol Revolution.”
Saturday, I had a whole day of clinic. My husband joined a table tennis tournament in the afternoon. Just before my clinic ended, I learned that he made it to the semifinals. I immediately rushed to the venue, just in time to see him playing in the finals match. He got second place! After the tournament, we grabbed dinner at a nearby night market.
Sunday, we went to Costco to refill our employee stock of Calpis drinks. By the way, Sunday is not the most ideal time to visit Costco. Way too many people!

Life of a dermatologist part 2:
Saturday: vote in the morning, clinic (besides seeing patients, also did intense pulsed light, picolaser, erbium laser, and DermaClear hydradermabrasion), celebrate our aesthetician’s birthday, start watching Oscar award-winning movie Anora (can’t go to bed too late, since I have class the next day)
Sunday: class in the morning, have dinner with friends, walk around Huashan 1914 Creative Park, finish yesterday’s movie

星期六: 投完票、接著一整天的門診(看診穿插脈衝光、皮秒、鉺雅鉻、和黑鑽水飛梭)、幫美容師慶生、最後看奧斯卡最佳影片《艾諾拉》(不能太晚睡，明天還要上課)
星期日: 早上上課、傍晚在華山文化創意產業園區和朋友吃飯、回家把電影看完

上個周末參加了兩場會議 (雙科同診室: 異位性皮膚炎治療的多元視角、台灣兒童與青少年皮膚醫學會)，學到很多
- 複習非類固醇藥物選擇:
pimecrolimus (Elidel醫立妥乳膏), tacrolimus (Protopic普特皮軟膏), 和crisaborole (Staquis適健膚外用軟膏)
- 嬰兒血管瘤(infantile hemangioma)的治療，除了口服propranolol，也可以使用同樣為beta-blocker的atenolol, 一天只要吃一次對病人來說很方便
- 化膿性肉芽腫（pyogenic granuloma）治療除了電燒、冷凍、和擦timolol，也可以考慮使用局部灑鹽來治療

Went to two meetings last weekend and learned a lot
- Review of non-steroidal topical medications: pimecrolimus (Elidel cream), tacrolimus (Protopic ointment), and crisaborole (Staquis ointment)
- Besides oral propranolol, atenolol is also a choice of treatment in infantile hemangioma, with more convenient once daily dosing
- Besides electrocautery, cryotherapy, and timolol, table salt is also a treatment option for pyogenic granuloma
