The kids from the Mountain of Joy Foundation had a wonderful outing, thanks to a special invitation from IACC International Church. They were so excited to sing, listen to the sermon, and just have fun together.

Building Blocks for Independence!🌞
At Mountain of Joy, we believe in empowering our youth for a self-reliant future. Today was a fantastic step forward as some of our young people, accompanied by Elia, visited both the local market and a supermarket.
The goal? To practice essential life skills needed for independent living! They worked together to plan their purchases, confidently navigated the bustling market and organized supermarket aisles, found all the items on their list, and successfully managed the payment process.
Every trip like this is a vital part of their journey towards greater independence. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and the progress they are making!

✨ **A Day of Awareness & Community** ✨

We were truly honored to have **Maximilian Kawau**, **Ramadan Sambeta**, our Street Chairperson, and all local street leaders join us as **Guests of Honor** at the Mountain of Joy Foundation in Tanzania.

A huge thank you to our incredible speakers for sharing their knowledge and passion:

We were also blessed to have a sister lead a meditation session, offering peace and insight. 🧘‍♀️

With 50 attendees, the atmosphere was filled with positive energy! After inspiring speeches, we broke into groups for dynamic discussions, sharing ideas that can make a real impact. Everyone had the chance to present their thoughts to the group, followed by a delicious lunch and meaningful networking. 🌱💬

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this day so special. Together, we can create positive change in our communities. 💫

A massive thank you to two incredible volunteers Chloe and Maria from who brightened our day with their wonderful donations! They surprised us with food, some cool new shirts, and the absolute highlight – a fantastic new swing! The kids were so excited and couldn't wait to try out the new swing 🙏🏼

Celebrating Swahili Culture in Cologne! 🙌🏼
What an incredible day we had yesterday at the International Swahili Day in Cologne!
We were so happy to be part of this vibrant celebration.
The day was filled with inspiring performances from talented musicians and acrobats, delicious food, and an all-around fantastic atmosphere. A huge thank you to .v for organizing such a wonderful event and for bringing people together to enjoy Swahili culture.
We truly appreciate the opportunity we had to participate, meet some inspiring individuals, and share our ideas for supporting youth and children with disabilities in Arusha.

💔 Meet Sabrina.
Her exact age is unknown, but her story is heartbreaking. For several years, Sabrina was confined to a room by a family member due to shame and a lack of understanding.
Tragically, Sabrina is now showing signs of hospitalism, including rocking her upper body back and forth.
Her situation powerfully highlights the critical importance of awareness and education surrounding mental health and disability. Shame and ignorance can have devastating consequences.
Let's break the silence and work towards a more informed and compassionate society where no one suffers in isolation.

The Mountain of Joy Foundation team had a wonderful time at Veta Oljoro, connecting with trainees and raising awareness about disabilities. As Autism Awareness Month continues, we're thrilled to be hosting a two-day session here. Day one will focus on autism, followed by a day dedicated to sensory integration.
We're so happy to be sharing this important knowledge!

On friday we celebrated the world autism day at the mountain of joy foundation. 🧩
We wanted to use this day to spread awareness about autism and to end up with some stigma.
All the kids were really happy and excited to celebrate together with the parents and neighbours and guests. 🥳
In a presentation we informed about autism.
We did some dancing and singing and enjoyed being together. 🤩
We want to use the chance to thank the and center for making this event possible.

Exciting news 🗞️
Mountain of joy Foundation with other stake holders Jaffary Academy, Joshua Foundation and lion Club they did a meeting with the Head of the department of governmental special Education School in Arusha city to discuss and finalize the agenda of World Autism Day on 4 April 2025. 💜We are very happy and proud that the event will take place at the .
We will use this event to spare awareness about autism and give parents the chance to get to know each other and build a community. 🤓
The event will shine with a lot of music and talents from the kids with disabilities 🥳
