Timu ya mradi mtambuka wa Saratani Tanzania(TCCP) inashiriki katika kutoa elimu na kuwapatia chanjo ya kuzuia saratani ya mlango wa kizazi (Humanpapilomavirus vaccine) katika shule 30 za wilaya ya Temeke mkoani Dar es Salaam.

Zoezi hili lilianza tarehe 9/05/2022 na litadumu kwa siku Tano (hadi tarehe 13/05/2022) na tayari zaidi ya wanafunzi wakike 677 wameshapata elimu juu ya Saratani hii pamoja na chanjo. Tunategemea kuwafikia wanafunzi wakike 1500 na zaidi katika kipindi hiki na baada ya hapo timu ya mradi itahamia wilaya nyingine/mkoa mwingine.

On March 11th, 2022, Aga Khan Hospital Tanzania (AKHST) has launched The Tanzania Comprehensive Cancer Project (TCCP), a four-year €13.3 million, private-public collaborative project funded by the Agence Française de Development (AFD) and the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF). The launch was accompanied by several community events that involved a community walk to ‘Beat Cancer,’ a round table discussion, and a cancer screening event at The Aga Khan Hospital, Mwanza.

The Tanzanian Government, Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS), and the French Development Agency (AFD) on December 16, 2019, signed a grant agreement and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth €13.3 million (TSh38 billion) for the Tanzania Comprehensive Cancer Project (TCCP) aiming at enhancing cancer care in Tanzania.

With the rise in the prevalence of cancer diseases in Tanzania, the proposed project will serve to accelerate performance in cancer screening, prevention and early detection targeting low-income groups through mobile outreach campaigns.
