In 2012 Access Medical and Dialysis Center (AMDIC) was established in Dar es Salaam to help increase access to dialysis treatment in Tanzania. AMDIC is a Medical center that provides specialist care covering the most common Non-Communicable Diseases (NDCs) affecting the quality of life, productivity and early death amongst many families in Tanzania. These conditions include Hypertension, Diabetes, Acute and chronic Kidney disease, End stage kidney disease (Kidney failure) requiring hemodialysis.
