A 3-day somatic and energetic journey under the Full Moon

🦋Everything we sense leaves an imprint — stored in the body and mind, shaping how we feel, choose, and move. This retreat is an invitation to slow down, soften, and descend into the quiet layers beneath thought and reaction.

🌊We’ll work with the water element, the sacral center (Swadhisthana), and the lunar current of Ida Nadi — using gentle asana, breathwork, kriya, sound, and yoga nidra to calm the senses and access deep intuitive clarity.

Did you know that you can rent Uzima Space?
A beautiful & peaceful haven in the heart of Stonetown.
Our studio offers a large open space with a peaceful and calming atmosphere.
Perfect for arts, crafts workshops, dance & movement classes, birthday parties, creative gatherings, trainings, etc.
The studio has a beautful wooden floor, plenty of natural light and is spacious (100 m2). There are large mirrors - ideal for dancers and any choreographed exercises. It’s also a space that inspires creativity - our walls are decorated with artworks by Miranda Boire, The Muse Flow, and Tiphaine Bonnaud.
At the back of the studio there’s a seperate treatment room with a massage bed and fans
We also have a small kitchen, bathroom, shower & toilet

“🪷THE REALITY OF TRUTHFULNESS 🪷
Living in our truth isn’t as simple as not lying...
It’s more about living in our authenticity. Being real with ourselves and with others.
It is also about recognizing what was true for us today, may not be true in a few years, months or even days. And that what is true for us, may not be true for another.
Two truths can live simultaniously... for example, one person loves bananas, but her friend feels sick at the smell of them. Who is right?
Knowing this invites in compassion and understanding for others experience of the world around us. ✨
On the flip side, being real rather than nice is a part of Satya. This is where the quote from Carl Jung comes to mind:✨

Our Story

Yoga Stone Town is located in the heart of Zanzibar - an archipelago off the coast of Tanzania mainland. Our studio is the first of its kind on the island, and we encourage it as a space that is welcoming to everyone. Our classes are suitable for all levels of yogis, even if you have never tried yoga before. With both local & international teachers guiding the way, you will learn to love the practice or will embrace new challenges and growth on the mat with us.
