For their first time ,Training on Delivering Recovery Support Services – ALLIIES Model
Gift of Hope Foundation, with support from the TangaYetu Program, DCEA, ISSUP Tanzania, and The Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme, conducted a training on Delivering Recovery Support Services using the Recovery Allies Link and Lend Inventive Engaging Support (ALLIIES) Model.
The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of recovery supporters, peer educators, and service providers to deliver structured, person-centered, and sustainable recovery support services to people with Substance use disorders. Participants were equipped with practical skills in peer engagement, psychosocial support, linkage to care, relapse prevention, and community-based recovery management.
The ALLIIES Model emphasizes building strong recovery networks, fostering supportive relationships, enhancing community reintegration, and promoting long-term recovery outcomes. The training reinforced the importance of collaboration, dignity, and evidence-informed recovery approaches in strengthening harm reduction and rehabilitation services in Tanga City and Tanzania 🇹🇿
