Inuka Switches on the Lights

Today is a special day for Inuka Southern Highlands CBR: the installation of a 55kW photovoltaic plant has been concluded and we can now say that Inuka went green and is operating in a more sustainable way!
This project has been realized with the financial and technical support of HAKUNA MATATA CHARITY and PROSOLIDAR FOUNDATION.

The 179 photovoltaic modules guarantee energy to the hospital without interruptions caused by lack of electricity due to heavy rains or wind blowing intensely.
This outcome will improve the services to our patients, particularly for the provision of assistive devices which delivery was often delayed by lack of electricity.
The goal achieved is the result of a long and demanding work, conducted by the efforts of many people who along with us believe that disability is not inability but simply a different and special way to live the life.

A special THANKS goes to HAKUNA MATATA CHARITY Hakuna Matata Charity and PROSOLIDAR FOUNDATION Fondazione Prosolidar, which share our objectives and have supported our organization for a long time.
A unique “ASANTE SANA” (Thanks in Swahili language) to SUNSWEET SOLAR COMPANY which, despite the challenges, successfully installed the photovoltaic system.
Finally, a special thanks to all the people dedicating their time and professionalism to INUKA Inuka Southern Highlands CBR, improving its high-quality and low-cost services provided to children and adults in need of health and rehabilitation services.

"Clubfoot is the most common musculoskeletal birth deformity, affecting 200,000 newborn children each year, 80 percent in developing countries. There are also hundreds of thousands of children and young adults who are living with this debilitating condition worldwide"
Inuka treats clubfoot using the Ponseti Method, a non-surgical treatment that includes the application of plaster casts and temporary bracing.

WORLD HEALTH DAY 🌍
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in the 25th article, states that health care is one of the fundamental human rights. Every day at INUKA we work to guarantee the highest level of health care and well being for our patients.

🇬🇧 In preparation for the Women 's day -8th of march- at Inuka mums and therapists met to talk about women's condition in Tanzania.
It was such an empowering day for reflection and sharing.

🇹🇿 Katika maadhimisho ya siku ya wanawake duniani yanayofanyika -tarehe 8 mwezi wa tatu- wataalamu wa Inuka na wazazi walikutana kwa pamoja kwa ajili ya kubadilishana mawazo na mitazamo kuhusu wanawake Tanzania.
Pia walizungumza vitu mbali mbali ambavyo vinawawezesha wanawake.
