House of Life in Czernowitz

В это воскресение (21 июня) - день медработника (день медика). В основном в этот день поздравляют врачей, медсестер, акушерок, фельдшеров, лаборантов ну, немного санитарок ... А вот специалистов по социальной работе из больниц - как правило, не замечают... Психологов (клинических) - тоже нет. Больничных педагогов - нет. Ну, волонтеров тоже, они ведь имеют свой "день". Наша Ассоциация трудится над тем, чтобы в каждой больнице был доступ пациентов (любых, не только тяжелобольных) к психологам, соцработникам, волонтерам, логопедам и другим медикам. Можете написать в комментах, нужны ли эти люди в больницах, или не нужны?

In 2019, the Czernowitz Fund "Life" purchased at its own expense a house with a total area of ​​240 m2 and a land of 25 acres. We plan to establish elderly house and an education center here.

The house needs electrification, planning, interior decoration, furniture, equipment. We provide the repairments for our own costs but do hope for grants, investments, charitable donations, and loans.

224 euro - this is the price for 1 elderly accomodation in the public elderly house, usually non-modernised. No special medical equipment, 2-4 persons in a room, no services for relatives and no complex services for elderly himself / herself.
315 euro - this is planned price for 1 elderly accomodation in our private elderly house in Czernowitz. 1-2 persons in a room, the house specially build for elderly.

Something about demography of Czernowitz region.
At the beginning of 2019 here lived 904,4 thousand
persons, which was 2% of a total number of Ukrainian
population.In urban areas - 390.7 thousand, in rural areas - 513.7 thousand people.

Average life expectancy: 73.7 years, including 68.9 for men
and 78.3 for women.

Our future elderly house is made of wood. This means, this is unique ecological house were highest international standarts shall be observed.

Now we improve and repair it for our own costs. But do hope for the charitable supports, grants, investments and loans!

We repair the roof in our future elderly house and educational center. We do it for our own costs with any grant. But of course we hope that in the near future we shall get the grant!

One of the important perspectives of the Fund "Life" and the Elderly House is the provision of training services by internationally certified trainers.

The involvement of internationally certified specialists is necessary for this, as Ukrainian doctors of specialization and obtaining a specialty. There are no such courses in Ukraine, so the Ministry of Health encourages training of doctors abroad by foreign specialists.

First of all, we consider specialists from Germany, Romania, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

“Life” Foundation was founded in 2019 by residents of Chernivtsi region, who are passionatly devoted to the development of support to seriously ill citizens.

In 2020 the number of members of the organization is 7 people and it is constantly growing. They all have experience in palliative care, hospice care, social work, or teaching.

The main mission of the Fund is to ensure the right of seriously ill citizens to their end-of-life services.

Thanks to our partner and organisational "mentor" All-Ukrainian Association of palliative and hospice care, we are able to develop our potential in educaiton and project management. We are going to apply to ISAR voucher for the educational events and mentor session.

End of February and we apply to Bayer Foundation. This affiliated to Bayer company charity supports projects in small towns dedicated to development of communities. So we apply with the project of our educational center in elderly house in Chernowcy in Western Ukraine

19 December 2019 St.Mykolaj from charity fund "Zhyttya" have attended Cherniwtci elderly nursing home and Magaly ophanage. Of course Saint brought presents... Warm cloths which are necessary in winter.
