Scientists have also figured out exactly how much exercise the older generation needs in order to experience all these positive effects of exercise. At the Kansas City Alzheimer's Disease Center, they worked with people aged 65 and older without any age-related cognitive impairment. The researchers watched what the effect would be in three groups that exercised on different schedules: the first exercised 150 minutes a week (this figure is equal to the general recommendation for that age), the second exercised 75 minutes a week, and the third exercised 225 minutes. The best result was in those who trained the most. However, all had positive dynamics: visual-spatial perception as well as the ability to concentrate especially improved. However, even more important than the duration of training was its intensity. According to scientists, it is necessary to exercise to the best of one's ability, but with an element of overcoming, bringing oneself to a higher level of physical development.
