🔴 Синдром пустого носа

Синдром пустого носа (СПН, empty nose syndrome (ENS)) — це рідкісний ятрогенний стан, що виникає внаслідок проведення ендоназальних операцій, під час яких було видалено або пошкоджено носові раковини (фото 1)

Класифікація СПН
1️⃣ENS-IT - Нижня носова раковина повністю видалена або суттєво вкорочена
2️⃣ENS-MT - Середня носова раковина повністю видалена або суттєво вкорочена
3️⃣ENS-Both - Нижні й середні носові раковини частково пошкоджені
4️⃣ENS-Type - Структурні дефекти раковин відсутні, наявне тільки істотне пошкодження їх слизової оболонки

Симптоми
✔️Надмірна сухість носа
✔️Відчуття печіння в носі
✔️Носові кровотечі
✔️Відчуття відсутності проходження повітря
✔️Неможливість глибокого вдиху
✔️Дихання ротом
✔️Безсоння
✔️Гіпосмія/аносмія

Dear ERS Juniors

The concept of "one airway one disease" is probably a too simplistic approach of the links between upper- and lower-airway allergic diseases. The paper of the month May concludes that rhinitis alone (local disease) and rhinitis with asthma multimorbidity (systemic disease) should be considered as two distinct diseases, possibly modulated by the microbiome, and may be a model for understanding the epidemics of chronic and autoimmune diseases.
