“Without proper diet medicine is of no use; with proper diet medicine is of no need”. AuyrVedic Proverb
Who am I? My name is Ekaterina Cherniavskaya; I am a Naturopathic Nutrition Advisor (Natural Healthcare College, UK) and an Aurveda Practitioner (Master of Science in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, Maharishi International University, USA)
What do I do ? I help create and follow an individual tailor-made program of adjustments in diet, daily routine and physical activities, taking into consideration you mental and emotional status, work conditions, relationships - different areas of your life that affect your health and wellbeing. The aim is to gradually replace unhealthy dietary and behavioral habits with health-supporting nutrition and joyful activities, remove all the aspects that do not let your physiology function as a perfect self-regulating and self-repairing system - the way we were created by Mother Nature.
AyurVedic approach to health. What is it? Ayur (life) Veda (knowledge) - is an ancient, time-tested, sustainable healthcare system, viewing a human being as an integral part of Nature. In order to maintain physical health and emotional balance we should live our lives in compliance with the Laws of Nature - principles that govern, bring order and intelligence to the flow of life. The postulates were explained in ancient AyurVedic Sages; with these texts we (humanity) inherited what I would call a “Comprehensive Manual to Human Psychophysiology” describing main principles of diet, daily routine and behavior for prosperous and blissful living.
So AyurVedic approach to health is not in fighting the disorder as such; we aim on regaining a perfect balance between body, mind and soul, enlivening natural life forces and innate body intelligence, and stregthening psychophysiology to such a state where the presence of the disorder becomes impossible.
