Last month, our incredible GPNow Ukraine doctors and support team reached remarkable milestones, providing critical care and support to those who need it most:

Additionally, we’ve completed an in-depth survey, “Delivering Healthcare Behind Enemy Lines,” which canvassed 64 GPNow Ukraine doctors. The survey, set for release later this month, shares deeply moving and revealing findings about providing healthcare in occupied territories, including:

🌻 UKRAINE | Hospital in the Cloud - 3 Years of Active Service 🌻

It’s hard to believe that three years have passed since Russian tanks invaded Ukraine, triggering unimaginable devastation and forcing over 5 million Ukrainian citizens to flee their homes. The fear and uncertainty that swept across the nation were overwhelming, but in the face of these challenges, hope has emerged.

As a proud Amazon Web Services (AWS) partner and customer, we reached out to our network, offering our telehealth platform to support those in need during these tragic times, as part of the AWS "Project Sunflower 🌻" Disaster Relief Program.

This was a high-risk initiative – one that many believed was impossible. Yet, thanks to the unwavering dedication of countless individuals, we didn’t just meet our goal – we exceeded it. We expanded our efforts to provide critical care and support to thousands of people, far beyond our initial aim of offering free primary care, medical advice, comfort, and care.

Our incredible GPNow Ukraine team – 75 certified Ukrainian medical professionals – has delivered 3,074 hours of consultations to 12,689 Ukrainian families 👪, including over 5,000 children. Since launching in March 2022, we’ve facilitated a total of 18,433 free telehealth sessions.

AWS continues to stand with us, and so does the Canada-Ukraine Foundation. Together, we are not only helping those in immediate need but also laying the foundation to rebuild Ukraine’s healthcare system once peace is restored.

🌻UKRAINE | Hospital in the Cloud FEBRUARY 2025 RESULTS🌻

We are pleased to report thanks to you and the Canada-Ukraine Foundation our Ukrainian CrisisCare Telehealth Service which has resulted in a dramatic increase in patient registrations and consultations in February - we provided an additional 162 Ukrainian families with FREE medical advice, comfort, and care in Ukraine 🇺🇦 (including occupied territory), across Europe 🇪🇺, and in 59 countries worldwide.

Our dedicated GPNow Ukraine Ukraine team, consisting of 75 certified Ukrainian medical professionals, have successfully delivered 3,150 hours of consultations for 12,851 Ukrainian families 👪 (over 5,000~ children).

This amounts to a total of 18,901 free telehealth sessions since the service was launched in March 2022.

🌻UKRAINE | Hospital in the Cloud JANUARY 2025 RESULTS🌻

We are proud to announce as of January 1st Canada - Ukraine Foundation are supporting our Ukrainian CrisisCare Telehealth Service for six months which has already resulted in a 25% increase in patient registrations and consultations - we provided an additional 167 Ukrainian families with FREE medical advice, comfort, and care in Ukraine 🇺🇦 (including occupied territory), across Europe 🇪🇺, and in 59 countries worldwide.

Our dedicated GPNow Ukraine Ukraine team, consisting of 75 certified Ukrainian medical professionals, have successfully delivered 3,074 hours of consultations for 12,689 Ukrainian families 👪 (over 5,000~ children).

This amounts to a total of 18,433 free telehealth sessions since the service was launched in March 2022.

Amazon Web Services have also kindly agreed to provide credits to assist with infrastructure costs for the first half of the year - so we are well positioned to build program momentum and accelerate growth again...

We ran a report for the recent Rotary International Conference in Singapore on our global footprint for the service and we're amazed to learn we have helped more than 11,000 Ukrainian families (4,000+ children) in Ukraine, including occupied territory - across Europe and around the world.

56 countries on 5 continents is an incredible result for a small team of like-minded people wanting to help good people in troubled times...

Чому ми потрібні?

Не усі хворі звертаються за медичною допомогою за місцем проживання за кордоном. Деякі тримають зв'язок з лікарями, в яких вони лікувались в Україні, але є й такі, які шукають допомоги онлайн. Саме з такою категорією пацієнтів ми переважно і працюємо.

Найважливіше у нашій роботі - користь для пацієнтів.
З моєї точки зору це реалізується через наступні моменти:

1. Ми виявляємо "червоні прапорці", тобто стани, які потребують негайної медичної допомоги, а також ми переконуємо хворого викликати негайно швидку. Це вкрай важливо тому, що не завжди хворий або його родичі усвідомлюють загрозливість тих чи інших симптомів хвороби.

2. Ми рекомендуємо, до якого спеціаліста треба звернутись хворому у країні його проживання або онлайн.

3. Ми проводимо аналіз медичної документації хворого і виносимо свій висновок щодо подальшого обстеження і тактики лікування, оскільки багато наших спеціалістів мають наукові ступені, вищі категорії та великий досвід роботи, а пацієнтам часто треба почути думку ще одного лікаря.

4. Безумовно, що дуже цінним є можливість доступу до психологічної допомоги на нашому сайті, оскільки у Європі ця послуга є коштовною і зазвичай існує язиковий бар'єр між лікарем та хворим.
Існують також деякі інші моменти, але це були найважливіші, які б я хотів би виділити у нашій роботі.

Із повагою до аудиторії, що приділила мені свою увагу та з побажаннями всього найкращого від невропатолога, доктора філософії, доцента кафедри неврології Одеського медичного університету, що зараз мешкає у Румунії з дітьми-інвалідами та супругою - інвалідом дитинства, Герцева Василя Миколайовича.
