Figure skaters shared the gold medal in the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.
An alleged vote-trading scheme in the games came to light during the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. Judges announced that Russian figure skaters Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze won a higher score than Canadian figure skaters Jamie Sale and David Pelletier. After the release of winners, French judge Marie-Reine Le Gougne claimed that her bosses pressured her to vote for the Russian team. Because of this, the Olympic officials decided to reward both teams with gold medals.

Real Madrid Club de Fútbol or Real Madrid is a Spanish soccer team from Madrid, Spain. The team was founded on 6 March 1902. King Alfonso XIII (King of Spain from 1886 to 1931) blessed them to use the Spanish word “real” (royal) in the club’s name. Real Madrid was also coined as “Los Blancos” for traditional all-white uniforms.

David Beckham began his professional soccer career with Manchester in 1992. In the 1995 to 1996 season, he made a breakthrough in Manchester when he made 33 appearances in Premier League. And as further proof of his capabilities in the sports, he received several recognitions such as six Premier League titles and two FA Cups. A Roller Derby World Cup began in 2011. For this first world cup, Canada was the host. In 2014, the second world cup happened in Dallas, Texas. The third and latest world cup happened in 2018. This time, England was the host country.

The Great Southern Slam
The Great Southern Slam (TGSS) is another example. This is the largest roller derby tournament in the South. The participating teams are from New Zealand and Australia.

It was first held in 2010. Since then, Australia has hosted this event biannually. The latest TGSS, however, happened in 2018. The 2020 tournament was unfortunately canceled because of COVID-19.
