Hot Water in the Morning — An Ancient Tibetan Secret of Health
In any café in the Himalayas during the cold season, the very first thing you’ll be offered is a glass of hot water.
This custom has been followed for centuries: the best drink is pure hot boiled water. Not raw, not melted snow — but warm, “soft” to the taste.
Why? Because cold and raw water is heavy for digestion: it extinguishes the “stomach fire,” slows down the production of digestive juices, and over time promotes mucus buildup. Mucus doesn’t just cause discomfort — it interferes with cell function, blocks channels, and weakens the pancreas.
We are used to washing down meals with cold drinks, and the fast-food industry promotes juices and sweetened concentrates. But remember: regular consumption of cold water with fatty or flour-based foods can impair metabolism and increase the risk of type 2 diabetes.
Hot water works the opposite way — it gently “wakes up” your cells, supports the stomach, and helps restore balance.
How to drink it:
In the morning on an empty stomach, drink a glass of hot boiled water (not boiling — let it cool slightly). Throughout the day, sip in small amounts.
Try it for a week — and your body will thank you. #
