Adolescent girls from cetkana primary school who had came for treatment during the medical outreach in Gulu, also benefited from our Reusable Sanitary Towel Project - where we offer education on comprehensive menstrual hygiene management, making Reusable sanitary towels and support adolescent girls and young mothers with Reusable Sanitary pads.

The flannel and machine that made these pads was donated by one of you here, God bless you. Ladies were happy receiving these sanitary towels and learning about menstrual hygiene management.

Last week, we had four great days in remote areas of Gulu district where we had medical outreaches in three different villages put together by Next Generation Ministries and led by Dr. Rebecca Hunter, along time friend since Covid-19. Our shared love for Christ and commitment to supporting underprivileged communities has consistently brought us together, allowing us to make a meaningful impact.

we had the opportunity to see very many patients, providing patient-centered care and reminding each individual that God is with them, they are not alone and that we genuinely care.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teams of volunteers at Nissi Medical Outreaches, Sozo dream foundation, Hummingbird Foundation and Reproductive health Uganda for making the week so special.

Upon a successful conduction of Medical Health Camp in Gingo village- Mityana district. A total of 459 citizens from the area attended this camp. The camp, which was free for everyone, the medicines and the eye glasses were donated by Live in Light Ministries-a generous ministry which has been supporting many good causes.

Blood pressure, random blood sugar, HIV test and counseling, dental checkup, general medical checkup, ophthalmic checkup and free eye glasses, Health talk and counseling for to***co and alcohol cessation were the various helps given for the patients. It was heartening to see that the citizens had awareness on health issues and lined up in big numbers well before the camp started.

It was admirable that all the doctors had enough patience to answer the queries of patients. Dr. Micheal from Hummingbird foundation was happy to assist me organizing this camp. As we come alongside these God’s people to provide medical assistance, we’re pointing them to the eternal hope we have in Christ Jesus and reminding them that God has not forsaken them. Keep an eye out for more such medical camps here and/or follow our page to stay updated.

If you met Wilson today, you’d probably never suspect the long, uphill battle he and his family faced to get to this point. Wilson was rescued early this year in one of our medical outreaches.

Wilson is 3 years old, he has been battling the worst and deadly form of malnutrition. On the first contact with the doctors at the medical outreach, he weighted 4kg, looked sick, drowsy, very thin, and barely interested in anything with many malnutrition related complications. Grandmother reported “Wilson wasn’t growing at the same rate as his peers, cried often, he was left very young and did not breast feed.” No matter the efforts, Wilson’s grandmother couldn’t find nutritious food he needed.

We praise the Lord and we celebrate the outcome, we’re proud to see that he is finally on track for normal development and good health.

Ultimately, we thank God for healing Wilson through doctors intensive weekly follow-up combined with the fact that, the caretaker who never missed giving him the timely therapeutic food and consulting the doctor – that brought him back to good health.

Additionally, doctor’s weekly follow-up visits helped reinforce a diet that includes nutritionally dense foods and also educated the family about the proper nutrition and feeding practices for the child, as well as warning signs of infection and other complications in malnutrition.

We praise the lord, his family and other converts who gave their lives to Christ during the medical outreach, they have connected to a local church and are growing in their budding faith!

Medical outreach to the deaf society was successful.

People who are deaf face significant hurdles when accessing health services. Many of them do not come to hospital if there are no interpreters. Another issues raised is that if they brought someone to interpret for them, they would have no privacy. Some lady says it is difficult to meet different people every time she seeks medical care.
