We are so excited to inform our community members that we are offering ART Services at the facility at no cost (Free). So if you get exposed with either s*xually or in any other form with HIV infected Person Please endeavor to come for PEP ( Post Exposure Prophylaxis).
And if you test HIV Positive, or you are on HIV drugs already or you have a child and you want to change the facility may be due to high transport costs. HELP A WOMAN. Part 3.
CERVICAL CANCER PREVENTION.

The following preventive measures are categorised into 3 classes.
1. Primary prevention. ( Before the occurrence of cancer)
- Vaccination against HPV virus.
- Limit the number of your s*xual partners.
- Have safe s*x ( avoid unprotected s*x)
- Avoid smoking.
- Regular cervical cancer screening
- Treat UTIs as soon as possible.

2. Secondary prevention.( After the occurrence of cancer)
- Seek for medical attention as soon as you're diagnosed cervical cancer positive.
- Adhere to the prescribed treatment
- Eat well enriched food especially irons and minerals.
- Avoid smoking to avoid further injury
- Regular follow up tests and check up.
- Treat other underlying diseases.
- Prepare for surgery before it's advanced.

3. Tertiary prevention ( Advanced stage of cancer)
- Chemotherapy
- Radiation
Palliative care.

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.
Note; Adhere to the above preventive measures at any stage you are to save the a thousand women dying of cervical cancer every year.

HELP A WOMAN PART 2
Cervical cancer awareness part two brings you the causes and risk factors that can cause cervical cancer in the long run.

*The primary cause of cervical cancer is a virus called Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) which is transmitted through s*xual in*******se.

However the following risk factors can also cause cervical cancer;
1. If you have s*x in*******se at the age of 16 yrs and below.
2. Having multiple s*xual partners can also increase your chances of getting cervical cancer.
3. Using family planning pills for a long time ( More than 6yrs) can increase your chances of acquiring the cancer.
4. Having untreated UTIs for long like candida, chymidia, warts etc can also increase your risk.
5. Smoking is also a risk factor for cervical cancer because it is associated with cervical squamous cells.
6. Having un protected s*x especially with uncircumcised men can also increase your chances of getting it.
7. Having many deliveries ( More than 5 pregnancies)

NOTE: If you have have been exposed to any or more than two of the above risks, you're advised to go to the near by health facility for cervical cancer screening test.

-Are you a woman, a man who is married to a woman, you have a sister, a mother or female siblings?? Must read 👇👇

CERVICAL CANCER AWARENESS.
-Cervical cancer posses no symptoms in early stages however as it progresses, the following symptoms can be observed;
1. Bleeding or spotting between menstrual periods.
2. Lower Abdominal pain
3. Longer or heavier menstrual periods than usual.
4. Pain during s*xual in*******se
5. Vaginal bleeding after s*x.
6. Post menopausal bleeding or bleeding after menopause.
7. Abnormal vaginal bleeding.et

NOTE: Decide today to go for cervical cancer screening at the the near by facility, don't wait to see the symptoms and if you already have any or more than two of the above symptoms, run to the health facility for PAP smear test to confirm that it's not cancer of the cervix.

Free cervical cancer screening is offered at KISAAKYE COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE Bulaga-Bulenga on all women of child bearing age.
