Beams of Hope Uganda visited the home of a mother of five children. Their house is in a dire state and almost collapsing. It’s now a rainy season and the whole roof leaks. While inside the house, you hear movements of pests and crawling mammals on the roof. Their lives are at a very high risk. Let’s join hands and prayers to help this family and many more families. Your support will save a life.

This family of 7 is a poor health state, the children are malnourished, the mother is disabled and father is also vulnerable. They lack the essential basic needs in their lives since they have no source of income. They eat one meal in a day and not sure of a meal the next day.

Teenage pregnancy in Luuka district is on the raise. This has been due to Covid- 19 pandemic which has left many schools closed and families with with no source of income to buy essential needs.

Many teenagers have been persuaded by men to love them in exchange for money to buy food, pads, clothes among others. This has resulted into high numbers of teenage pregnancies and abortions.

There is need foe a combined effort from government, the NGOs, parents and other stake holders to put an end to teenage pregnancy, abortion and early marriages in order to save the mothers of tomorrow.

How are the kids in your life coping with back-to-school season this year?📓

In third world countries like Uganda, where many children don’t have access to the internet, “virtual learning” can range from challenging to downright impossible. But kids are working through it, with a little help from (and from their parents, the real MVPs).

Iganga, Uganda | The pandemic has brought hunger to many of our fellows. Confinement measures are forcing people to stay at home, impairing the poor’s ability to earn an income, disrupting livelihoods, and leaving many anxious about how they will get enough to eat.

Special thanks to Ms. Naigaga Ruth who is a single mother struggling to raise six children who narrated to us how she has tried to maneuver through this pandemic.

For this cause has arranged a program for providing a beacon of hope and initiating a feeding program to the residents in the undeserved community from Iganga District to the rest of the country.

We acknowledge with gratitude the very significant way you can stand with BHU during this time of crisis.
