This 16 Days of Activism, we say NO to digital violence that silences, shames, and isolates.

🔥 Girls and women with spinal disabilities deserve safety, dignity, and respect online.
🔥 Their voices matter — and must be protected.

What we can do:

This week, we mourn the loss of Rachael, a girl with a spinal cord injury whose life was tragically cut short due to complications from pressure sores.

Her passing reminds us of urgent need for accessible healthcare, proper wound management, and stronger support systems for persons with

Pressure sores are preventable.
No one should lose their life because essential care and equipment are out of reach.

Spinal cord injury awareness month♿

This month, individuals living with SCIs come together to connect, share experiences and celebrate their diversity.

The comes to an end but our efforts to ensure individual autonomy and community inclusion still go on.

We still stand in solidarity to reaffirm the need to advance inclusion, public participation, accesss to health and rehabilitation care for individuals with SCIs.

Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.đź’š

Globally, over 15million people are living with with falls and road traffic accidents being the leading causes.

This year's theme "Empowering independence through innovation and inclusion" recognizes the latest advancement in technology that has expanded possibilities for persons living with SCIs.

From improved rehabilitation technology like functional electrical stimulation that has enabled survivors regain some functions.

To Artificial technology like motorised wheel chairs that enable mobility with little or no aid and brain computer interfaces which allows persons with high levels of paralysis control devices with their thoughts, etc.

SCI technology is not luxury but a basic need for survivors.

There is need for localization of SCI technology, so that rural survivors can benefit from the wide range of equipment available.
