AGE: 9YEARS
YEAR OF INTERVENTION: 2018
DIAGNOSIS: CELEBRAL PALSY
BACKGROUND:
Manjeri (Mar-n-jie-rie) is a nine-year-old girl who is part of a family of 8. She was born with Cerebral palsy, a disorder that has limited her lower limbs movement. She does crawl but this limits her from accessing most of her basic needs freely. She doesn’t attend school, go to church or even play with her peers yet her hearing and speech is very good. She is limited to one area that’s her home stead and she is left at home alone when her family goes to the garden, in fact there many times when the rain catches her outside and she can’t enter the as the door steps are raised.
We at Tusobola have visited her several times and empowered her family while we mobilize for funds to help correct her movement disorder and avail a wheelchair to ease her mobility.
