MEDICUS Health Care joins the world in cerebrating the International day of the Midwives. This year's theme is " Follow the data; invest in midwives." In order to achieve the global health coverage by 2030, we must address the glaring deficiency of midwives through training, deployment and adequately equipping them for the enormous tasks in the health care system .

MEDICUS Health Care is therefore taking pragmatic steps in improving sexual, reproductive, maternal, new born and adolescent health services in the region. This is the reason our Obstetrics and Gynaecology department where maternal child health falls is supported by a team of 3 Consultant Obstetricians/ Gynaecologist. We believe this support and training to the midwives at MEDICUS is crucial as we seek to lead the ongoing global discussion of reducing maternal mortality ratio to less than 70 per 100,000 live birth by 2030.
