Obesity contributes directly to incident cardiovascular risk factors, including dyslipidemia, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension.
It’s important for children to understand this at an early age so that they make healthy choices!

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death globally, with an estimated 18.6 million CVD deaths in 2019.
Taking annual health checks regularly may even further improve the control of cardiovascular risk factors.

Today is World Cancer Day.

According to WHO, Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for nearly 10 million deaths in 2020, or nearly one in six deaths.
Early detection is key. We@can’t emphasize that enough!
Normalize annual preventive care checkups. Talk to your doctor next week, schedule an appointment for a thorough checkup.

1. Stop smoking
2. Reduce alcohol intake
3. Exercise regularly, stay active
4. If a close relative in most cases first degree relative died of any type of cancer, find out more with your doctor about next steps.
5. A healthy diet prolongs life, and reduces cancer risk.
6. Avoid being under sunlight for too long.

February is National Cancer Awareness Month.
According to WHO, every 6th death in the world is due to Cancer.
Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for nearly 10 million deaths in 2020. The most common in 2020 (in terms of new cases of cancer) were: breast (2.26 million cases); lung (2.21 million cases);

colon and re**um (1.93 million cases); prostate (1.41 million cases);
skin (non-melanoma) (1.20 million cases); and
stomach (1.09 million cases).
This month l will share more content on how we can reduce the burden of cancer, how we can live healthy and prevent cancer!

Let’s talk about how to accelerate growth in the healthcare industry as we create impact on large scale, in our communities. For us, it’s always about social impact.

Through our venture Afro Health Connect, we bring healthcare even closer to our community members through online platforms as we visit them at the privacy and comfort of their homes or offices when they need it most.

We currently provide FREE healthcare online to over 𝟯𝟬𝟬 individuals through our WhatsApp platforms. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝟲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀.

When you pay for our services, 10% of that goes to a fund we use to run this community that is unable to access quality medical services remotely, wherever they are. This is how we manage to coordinate several community activities remotely.

How does this work?

Studies show that participation in social media by the general public has increased sharply over the years.

WhatsApp is relatively safe thanks to end-to-end encryption on all chats, which makes it a highly secure messaging app.

𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱-𝟭𝟵 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲.
Go to any government facility and get vaccinated. Vaccines work. Vaccines are free.
Covid-19 cases are still rising, on 24th July the reported more than 100 cases.
3 patients are hospitalized. Mre than 20 million vaccines have been administered we are doing great, let’s continue…..
Afro Health Connect will continue sensitizing the public about the need to protect each through vaccination.
