Variety- as often as possible or every day your baby needs at least a small bit of each of the following food groups;
- Millet four, sorghum flour, maize flour potatoes, matooke
- fresh or dry beans,peas,ground nuts
-sliver fish,meat,chicken,fish or eggs
- vegetables like dark green vegetables ( dodo,nakati,buga,)corrats, egg plant,cabbage
- fruits like mango,pawpaw
- oil or ghee

We are still looking at FATVAH in complementary feeding. Letter T- thickness (consistency) how thick is your baby's food?
Mash and soften the food so that the baby can easily chew and swallow. Breast milk or animal milk can be used to prepare soft food.
Thicken the baby's food as the baby grows older making sure that he or she is still able to swallow with out choking.

6months start with 2-3heaped table spoons per feed
7-9months .gradually increase the amount of food. babies have small stomachs and can only eat small amounts at each meal.
give breast milk first before giving other foods to babies below 11months.
