How to prevent food poisoning:

To prevent food poisoning, be sure to practice good personal and food hygiene.

* Always wash your hands before cooking or eating food.
* Make sure your food is properly sealed and stored.
* Thoroughly cook meat and eggs.
* Make sure to always wash fruits and vegetables before serving them.
* Discard off spoiled or contaminated food.
* Ensure your kitchen is clean.

Most food poisoning is mild and resolves without treatment. Getting plenty of rest and drinking fluids can help you feel better.

To prevent your stomach from getting more upset when you have food poisoning avoid dairy products, especially milk and cheeses, fatty food & fried foods, highly seasoned and spicy foods, foods that are high in sugar.
Also avoid caffeine, alcohol and smoking & add probiotics to your meals.

Incase your symptoms don’t resolve or get worse. you should see a doctor. Doctors may prescribe some medicine depending on the cause of the food poisoning or give IV fluids to rehydrate your body.
