POV: when you find a job that doesn’t drain you!

I used to wake up with anxiety, already exhausted before the day even started.
That was my body telling me something wasn’t right.

This season, I listened.

I chose alignment over pressure.
Peace over pushing through.
A role that allows me to do what I love and still have energy for my life outside work.

I no longer wake up anxious to go to work. I feel at ease. Present. Grounded.
And that alone tells me I made the right decision.

This journey has taught me that growth isn’t always about doing more.
Sometimes it’s about choosing better environments and honoring your mental health.

If you’re feeling constantly drained, this is your reminder: your job should not cost you your well-being.

As 2025 Comes to a Close

With just a few days left in the year, I want to take a quiet moment to reflect. This year has been filled with learning, growth, and meaningful conversations about taking better care of ourselves. Your presence, your engagement, and your willingness to learn have helped shape this space into something purposeful and supportive.

As we prepare to step into a new year, my focus remains the same. Helping you make informed, realistic choices for your health and wellbeing.

Before we turn the page, I would love to hear from you. What would you like to see more of in the coming year?

Wishing you a calm end to 2025 and a healthy beginning to what comes next. Thank you for being part of this journey.

💛During this time of year, many people long for connection without knowing how to ask for it. If you have a supportive circle around you, you have the ability to share some of that light with someone who may feel forgotten. A small gesture can open a door that someone has been afraid to knock on by themselves.

Reaching out to a neighbor, a colleague, or someone you have not spoken to in a while can create comfort in ways you might not expect. Something as simple as sharing a warm drink or offering a kind word can gently pull someone out of emotional isolation.

Your presence might be the reminder someone needs to feel seen and valued.

Thank You for 2025

As we reach the end of this year, my heart is full. Creating health content for this community has been a blessing, and your presence has made every challenge worth it.

You showed up, you learned, you shared your stories, and you allowed this space to grow into something meaningful. I see you, and I appreciate you more than you know.

This platform was created to support your wellbeing and to help you understand that you have the ability to improve your health and prevent disease. That mission continues, and with your support, it becomes even stronger.

Now I would love to hear from you. Your voice guides the direction of this community.

🌨️Some seasons make it harder to feel connected, and winter in the Nordics is one of them. When the days get darker and the pace of life slows down, many people begin to feel more distant from others and even from themselves. If you recognize that feeling, I want you to know that there are real places and real people ready to support you.

🤍 If you are experiencing loneliness right now, support and companionship are available. You do not need to handle this season alone.

Here are some organizations in Sweden that offer a warm space, someone to talk to, or simply a moment of human understanding:
• The Swedish Red Cross (Röda Korset) – 0771 19 95 00
• Church of Sweden (Svenska kyrkan) – Open community gatherings
• RSMH – Peer support and local activities
• Äldrekontakt – Social visits and connection for older adults
• Fryshuset – Youth programs and safe meeting places
• Stadsmissionen Stockholm – 08 684 23 900
• Mind Självmordslinjen – 90101 (mind.se)

Choosing to reach out is an act of strength. Even a brief conversation can ease the weight you are carrying.

➡️ For more guidance and supportive steps, watch the full video on Nurse Aisha’s YouTube Channel.

What helps you feel emotionally grounded during difficult seasons?

19/12/2025

❄️Winter in the Nordics can feel heavy on the heart. The short daylight hours, the constant grey skies, and the slow pace of social life often leave many people feeling disconnected. Research in Sweden shows that a large number of people struggle with emotional distance during this season, and some even experience physical symptoms when the loneliness grows too strong.

This time of year can make it difficult to stay active, to stay connected, or even to feel present. For those who already carry feelings of isolation, winter can make everything feel louder and harder. Even nature pulls back and tries to survive the cold, so it is understandable that many of us feel the weight of this season too.

If this sounds familiar, I want you to know something. You are not the only one feeling like this. Your emotions are valid, and support is available.

To everyone watching, I would love to hear from you in the comments. What helps you feel connected during the winter season?

As the season gets colder, our skin often feels the change before we do. Dryness, dullness, and cracking can show up quietly.

Please take a moment to check in with your skin. Are you moisturising enough? Are you using your serum?

This season can be tough on our skin, but simple, consistent care goes a long way.

Pick a moisturiser that matches your skin type and give your skin the nourishment it needs. I personally have dry skin, so keeping it hydrated is a daily priority for me.

Be gentle to your skin❤️

Strength training is my go to exercise to cope with the dark days in winter.
I strongly recommend that you do whatever keeps your body in motion. Whether it’s swimming, yoga, running, or a power walk, just move.

Physical exercise improves your cardiovasular health strengthens the heart and improves circulation, lowers blood pressure and improves your blood sugar levels.

Regular physical activity is beneficial for your overall health including your mental health.
Stay consistent with your workout plan and you we will make it through this season❤️

Welcome to December. ❄️

We’ve arrived at the final chapter of the year, a month that invites us to slow down, reflect and hold space for both gratitude and growth.

Even as the days get colder and shorter, there is still warmth to be found in connection, in community and in taking care of ourselves and each other.

As we step into this month, give yourself permission to pause… to breathe… to release what no longer serves you and make room for what truly matters.

However this year has been for you whether challenging, beautiful or a mix of everything I hope you enter December with intention.

Choose kindness.
Choose rest.
Choose nourishment for your mind, body and spirit.

I am grateful to have you here.
Here’s to reflection, healing and gentle new beginnings.

World AIDS Day 2025

This year’s theme, “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response,” reminds us that even with decades of progress, the global HIV response stands at a crossroads.

In 2024 alone:

• 40.8 million people were living with HIV
• 630,000 people died from HIV-related causes
• 1.3 million acquired HIV

Disruptions in health services continue to put communities at risk and inequalities still drive the epidemic, especially for children, adolescent girls, young women, and key populations. But there is also hope: innovation, community leadership, and resilience are transforming the future of HIV prevention and care.

To honour this day, I’m sharing a previous conversation with Noah’s Ark, where we discussed HIV facts, myths, prevention strategies, stigma, and the importance of knowing your status.

Watch here: https://youtu.be/btX930Np2Tw

Today, let’s support rights-based HIV services, advocate for equity, spread awareness, get tested and commit to ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030.

Type 2 diabetes is chronic disease that can be managed with lifestyle changes. Small daily habits make a big difference: balanced meals, regular movement, mindful eating, and routine check-ups. Awareness is key and with consistent care, it can be prevented and managed very.
Your health is your power, protect it, nurture it, and stay informed.

Quick correction 🇸🇪
I previously shared “The Swedish Travel Prescription for Wellness” on my stories a while back, but after many of you asked, I learned it was actually a tourism campaign clickbait 😅. What is real is Sweden’s long-standing program where doctors prescribe physical activity for health.
The travel prescription isn’t real, thank you for keeping me curious and accountable 💛
