Ending the Year 2025 in Gratitude: KHL's
Thanksgiving Holy Mass
As the year draws to a close, we gathered in the presence of God to pause, reflect, and give thanks. As one family, we came together for an End-of-Year Thanksgiving Holy Mass led by Rev. Fr. Kibi Deogratius, offering gratitude for God's faithfulness and renewing our shared purpose in service.
Healthcare is more than a profession; it is a calling rooted in compassion, sacrifice, and faith. Throughout the year, our teams navigated complex clinical realities, emotional demands, and an evolving healthcare landscape-trusting God while keeping patients at the heart of everything we do. In his message, Rev. Fr. Kiibi Deogratius reminded us that gratitude is not limited to seasons of success, but is especially powerful in times of challenge, calling us to humility, perseverance, and deeper trust in God's guidance.
Reflecting on the journey, our CEO, Dr. Peter Kibuuka, emphasized the role of faith and endurance in healthcare leadership, drawing encouragement from Scripture:
"Let us not grow weary in doing good." (Galatians 6:9)
Our perseverance, anchored in faith, continues to bear fruit at Kampala Hospital.
At KHL, service extends beyond clinical excellence. It is grounded in our God-given values of integrity, respect, nurture, and excellence. Gathering in prayer reaffirmed that while our work is guided by knowledge and skill, it is sustained by God's grace, teamwork, and a shared commitment to serve with love and dignity.
As we step into a new year, we do so with thankful hearts and renewed trust in God's leading. We are deeply grateful for our staff, partners, patients, and community-each an instrument through which God continues His work of healing. The Thanksgiving Holy Mass was not merely a conclusion to the year, but a declaration of faith in the journey ahead.
We are thankful dear Lord God, we move forward strengthened in prayer, united in purpose, and hopeful in the promise of the year to come in the name of Jesus, amen.
