What Does the Liver Do?

Early Warning Signs
Visit a health facility if you notice:
- Constant tiredness or weakness
- Poor appetite
- Nausea or vomiting
- Unexplained weight loss
- Pain or discomfort on the upper right side of the abdomen
- Bloating or indigestion
- Dark yellow or brown urine
Serious Signs – Seek Medical Care Immediately
- Yellow eyes or skin (jaundice)
- Pale or clay-colored stool
- Persistent itching
- Swelling of the abdomen, legs, or ankles
- Easy bruising or bleeding
- Confusion or poor memory
Emergency Signs – Go to Hospital Urgently
- Severe abdominal pain
- Vomiting blood
- Black stool
- High fever with yellow eyes or skin

How to Protect Your Liver
