E-health is an emerging field in the intersection of medical informatics, public health, and business. It refers to health services and information delivered or enhanced through the internet and related technologies Despite various health issues being addressed in Uganda through different avenues, there still remains a communication gap in the health sector of Uganda. There is a lack of feedback mechanism, interactivity and timeliness of delivery of health information. With the advent of e-health services through Information, Communication and Technology services, the above issues will be addressed as new strategies are incorporated. Using Facebook, daily health tips will be sent out. Also a team of well-trained doctors will answer medical queries. The purpose of this initiative is to reach people who for various reasons are not able to access medical information. This project’s vision is to ensure the delivery of the right information to the right person at the right place at the right time to enhance health outcomes and improve system efficiency. E-health is about modernizing health system methods and technologies to increase the quality, safety, timeliness, and efficiency of health services.
